My focus is to help individuals find meaning, purpose, and fulfillment in their lives. In order to achieve this, I strive to provide a nonjudgemental, neutral, and therapeutic environment to foster trust and authenticity leading to our own unique and customized treatment plan.
I promise to stand by your side throughout our journey and in hopes assist you in overcoming life’s adversities. My purpose and goal is to help you heal from your pain, learn from the experiences you have endured, and enhance the inner potential each of us has to grow and become the envisioned and ideal person we all have inside us.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are extremely common symptoms to experience, yet have a wide range of effect and impact on each and every individual, meaning the significance varies from person to person. Through counseling, inner strengths that may have yet to shed light will be revealed and known, leading to various coping strategies which aid to diminish the debilitating effects depression, fear, and anxiety provoke on us.
Meaning in life can be found wherever we look, however, that is easier said than done. Life has a way in which it continuously and somewhat ruthlessly challenges us with feats that at first glance, seem to be insurmountable. However, as human beings, through our unshakable spirit, we have the POWER to CHOOSE our perception of our situations. I aim to assist clients in finding their own personal meaning and purpose in life. With purpose and meaning, one can achieve a heightened sense of well-being and overall life satisfaction.
With one of my emphasis in Grief & Trauma throughout my personal academia, I feel confident in assisting those who have been through, and experienced loss and hardships. I look at Grief & Trauma on a spectrum in regard to the assumption that we as human beings, have ALL experienced it to some degree. With that in mind, we are all unique and distinctive individuals, therefore, grief and or trauma affects each person differently. By joining clients where they are in their journey, I believe can be effective in assisting and empowering them to overcome and grow from their unfortunate endurances.
I am a licensed professional counselor here in the state of Idaho. I graduated from Northwest Nazarene University with a masters in clinical mental health counseling with my emphasis in Logotherapy and Grief, Trauma & Crisis. My experiences in life including my upbringing, friendships, relationships, hardships, and mistakes led me to become the person I am today. Nobody is perfect, and that is perfectly okay. Through the choices we make (good or bad) we have the ability to learn and grow. As human beings, we have an intrinsic capability of overcoming and growing from tragic and heartbreaking situations/experiences. I strive to form safe relationships both in my practice, as well as with my family and friends leading to a trusting and understanding environment. By doing so, openness, transparency, and authenticity becomes natural in exploring the unique lives and experiences of each individual. As an Idahoan native, my hope is to serve and empower our community to find peace, love, joy, and meaning despite the inevitable obstacles we as humans are faced with.
